Infrastructure & Security Engineer

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading construction company based in London who are currently looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

Job Overview:

As an IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing my clients IT infrastructure while ensuring robust security measures are in place. You will work closely with the team to optimise their systems, protect against cyber threats, and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity: Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to safeguard the organisation's digital assets, including but not limited to Cyber Essentials+ and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Microsoft 365: Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including administration, configuration, and security features.
  • Patch Management: Develop and execute patch management strategies to keep systems and software up to date and secure.
  • Windows Administration: Manage Windows-based servers and workstations, ensuring their optimal performance and security.
  • Vulnerability Scanning: Identify and scan vulnerable machines to assess security risks and implement remediation measures.
  • Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM): Administer Intune and MDM solutions to manage and secure mobile devices, including iOS.
  • Network Security: Administer and maintain network security appliances like Sonicwall, Cisco, and Dell to protect the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Nessus Tenable: Utilize Nessus Tenable for vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, implementing necessary actions based on findings.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experienced in managing Windows Server 2016.
  • Experience with network security appliances (Sonicwall, Cisco, Dell).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and security.
  • Virtualisation experience with Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and implementation.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in using Nessus Tenable for vulnerability assessment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
